Best HVAC Setting
In Canada, we’re no strangers to unpredictable weather. Each year it seems that the summer gets hotter and the winter gets colder… Whether or not the temperature outside is actually changing from year to year, you’re likely to have a favorite HVAC setting during the heating or cooling season that doesn’t change. Depending on what’s comfortable for you, your HVAC habits may be costing you money.
Setting Your HVAC System Thoughtfully #1
When your HVAC system is constantly running it needs a lot of electricity and that racks up dollars on your bill. Simply setting your HVAC system thoughtfully can make a huge difference when it comes to your electricity bill and the life of your system.
As the HVAC experts of Canada, we recommend setting your system no higher or lower than 25.5C, year round. You read that correctly – year round!
Consistent HVAC Setting #2
Your HVAC system removes the moisture from the air, so a setting of 25.5C will feel cooler indoors than 25.5C outdoors. Eastern Canada isn’t tropical but it does get warm and humid, 25.5C is cool enough to be comfortable without overworking your HVAC system.
In the winter, 25.5C indoors is very cozy. We all know that temperature is much warmer than it is outside, eh! By keeping the indoor temperature constant year round, your HVAC system won’t have to kick on as often and has to work less.
Conservatively Setting Your Thermostat #3
When your HVAC system doesn’t have to work as hard, the parts and components last longer. Conservatively setting your thermostat, regularly changing your air filter, and performing yearly maintenance can lengthen the life of your HVAC system as a whole.
Set your thermostat to 25.5C and watch your electricity bill drop! Trust us, we’re the HVAC experts of Eastern Canada. With all that money you’ll save on your bill, go on a vacation, and keep Snowdon in mind. We’re dedicated to your comfort and love to see our customers happy!
